UREX^®复合益生菌由两株益生菌菌株组成：GR­-1^TM鼠李糖乳酪杆菌菌株和RC-­14^TM罗伊氏粘液乳杆菌。大量科学研究和试验表明，UREX^®复合益生菌与维持泌尿生殖道健康相关，有助于平衡和恢复阴道菌群，有助于减少阴道分泌物和**过度生长，有利于降低复发性尿路感染的发生率⁹。

自2001年以来，超过25个临床试验研究了GR­-1^TM鼠李糖乳酪杆菌菌株和RC­-14^TM罗伊氏粘液乳杆菌菌株的联合使用效果，并有超过130篇科学文献对其进行了阐述，包括临床前研究、随机双盲、安慰剂对照临床试验和综述文献。相关研究对这两株菌株复合使用效果进行了长达12个月的研究，涉及人群从少女到绝经后妇女 (包括孕妇和 HIV感染女性)，证明了菌株的安全性和有效性。

UREX^® 菌株可通过产生**物质来支持健康的菌障平衡；通过去除和减少新的有害生物膜的形成，帮助减少生物膜；通过产生乳酸来帮助降低阴道PH值。

GR-­1^TM鼠李糖乳酪杆菌菌株和RC-­14^TM罗伊氏粘液乳杆菌菌株已被美国食品药品监督管理局(FDA) 列入“新膳食成分通知”名单，是可靠的可食用益生菌菌株。在菌种级别上，鼠李糖乳酪杆菌菌种和罗伊氏粘液乳杆菌菌种已获得欧洲食品安全局(EFSA)授予的“安全资格认定”(QPS，Qualified Presumption of Safety)。目前在全球多个市场作为膳食补充剂原料销售。
